Methionine is a urinary acidifier. It is used for the treatment and prevention of certain types (struvite) of urinary stones. Do NOT use if the pet is on a special diet that also acidifies the urine, unless directed by your veterinarian. Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, pale or blue mucous membranes, incoordination, or staggering while being treated with methionine.

A most successful meeting conducted with some outstanding efforts my most participants. Coursing commenced under sunny skies with frosty conditions and a very cool breeze prevalent. Robyn Massina had an unfortunate incident early in the day but overcame her problems with many of her charges very successful.
The Coursing Track was in fantastic condition considering the drought situation many many hours must have been put in by the Sait Family and everyone connected with the coursing grounds. All looks well for the Derby/Oaks meeting coming up on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July and we look forward with great anticipation for a most successful meeting.
Graham Long continued his outstanding run with his litter of pups Bombastic Shiraz x Thyme Travel participating in puppy events and also runner up in the main event. Miracle Prince having his first coursing start performed very well in winning the Derby Trial Stake for Dorothy & Kevin Plunkett. Congratulations to all participants at this meeting.

Coursing commenced for Season 2007 in fine style under pleasant sunny conditions. Russell McRae presented Cliston Shiver successfully winning the GOTBA Trophy Race defeated Lionel Kraemer’s charges Ghostly Phantom in the semi final then Trojan Boy in the Final by a narrow margin. Merv Patching had a most successful day with Resettled in the One Win Stake then Settlers Run in The Maiden Dog No. 3. followed by Daring Deceit in the Maiden Bitch No. 1. Great to see some new faces this season and wish you every success in coming meetings. Under cold wet windy conditions coursing was commenced with some good displays from some promising dogs. Cliston Shiver was once again successful for Russell McRae. Russell also had success with Instructed First having his second coursing start.
The Dalton Family put the polish on some promising puppies Pink and Nelson County these should prove very interesting at Charlton in the Derby and Oaks, Barbie Gene as runner up in the Maiden Stake.
Merv Patching once again proved his training success with Modern Deceit having his first coursing start, and Dinaspiegler runner up in the one win stake. Merv has had quite a bit of success coursing as he only commenced last season.
Shamrock Gift put a smile on Colleen Erenshaw’s face when he successfully won the final event, he coursed keenly all day and it was great to see him greet the judge.
Our thanks to the hardworking Lang Lang Slipper Richie Adderley who does a magnificent job week in and week out at Trials and assists other clubs successfully slip their meetings. To all the workers who contributed many thanks for your labours under trying conditions.

Gday folks i have a dog with damaged pads that i am treating with Animol-C and some Pad Aid , i have heard that methionine tabs are good for treating or strenghetning skin, pads & coats (What they say on the site selln em lol ) .Are there any side affects with this and what dosage rates would you use on a 45 - 50 lb dog .All knoledge appreciated

The 130th running of the Victorian Waterloo Cup was conducted over the weekend with some excellent results. When the draw came out on Tuesday it appeared that 4 of the best greyhounds nominated had drawn in the same eight. This proved to be correct with some extremely good coursing conducted on Saturday. Standouts Toora Tiger then Riewoldt followed by Superman then Xrate. Toora Tiger won his first course defeating Barwidgee Joll, Riewoldt defeated Brady Blitz, Superman defeated Sands a Flyin then Xrate defeated Big Ruso. Second Course Toora Tiger met Riewoldt with Riewoldt successful by a very narrow margin, Xrate then defeated Superman. Third Course Riewoldt was then defeated by Xrate. Some other very impressive performances were put in by Landliner (the 2004 Waterloo Cup winner), Meggy’s Devil, Boomeron, Yuppie, Sylvan Bill, Arejay Ace and Getem Ritchie. Xrate competed extremely well and congratulations to Alec Reid for this amazing dog’s preparation considering he broke the track record at Shepparton earlier in the week.
The Waterloo Plate saw Brady Blitz successful and congratulations to Des Carlson and Family who had a very disturbing week with Des in hospital, his twin girls Leisa and Nicole took over training duties and deserved some credit when Brady Blitz suffered an injury last week and was doubtful if she would be able to compete.
The Waterloo Purse taken out in fine style by Toora Tiger defeating another of Des’s charges Shakamuppa.
Robin Massina produced some good puppies winning with Lassy Lou and Blue Chariot successful.
Many thanks to all who have assisted us during the 2006 Coursing Season. To the Clubs which have conducted the meetings most successfully your workers have performed admirably under some trying conditions at times. Congratulations to all on a job well done.
